A Message From the Principal
After more than 20 years in education, I saw how often students need more than a standard academic program to succeed. They need a teacher who can recognize how they learn, identify what is holding them back, and develop the right strategy to help them move forward.

Dual Models for Virtual Learning
Maven Academy offers two distinct pathways for our students, designed to fit your individual needs.
1. Live Online Instruction:
Interactive, real-time virtual classes that combine the structure and collaboration of a live online classroom with the flexibility of asynchronous instruction, all conveniently completed right from home. Classes with live instruction also benefit from a personal consultation with the Principal to understand your needs and help personalize your education.
2. Fully Asynchronous Courses:
Self-paced online coursework with no fixed class times are ideal for balancing school with travel, sports schedules or other personal commitments. Paired with targeted teacher feedback and scheduled check-ins, asynchronous courses are excellent for driven, dedicated students.

Preparing for Post-Secondary
Future success starts with the right school. Beyond updating our Grade 12 students’ midterm and final grades with OUAC, we can prepare electronic letters that you can send to out-of-province institutions, and get university coaches connected with your student.

3. How long do courses take?
Maven Academy has many course options which makes the length of the course vary based on student schedule and students needs. For live instruction paired with Asynchronous instruction courses, the time frame is usually 4 months. For fully Asynchronous courses, students typically finish in as soon as 1 month or can take up to 5 months to complete.
4. Do Universities recognize Maven Academy Courses?
Yes! Maven Academy credits are recognized by universities.
Note: We always encourage families to check directly with their target university programs to confirm any specific admission preferences.
5. My child has an IEP, how does that work?
Maven Academy accommodates students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP). Please submit your child’s documentation during registration (or email info@mavenacademy.org). We do our best to customize support based on official IEP records. During the one on one meeting with the principal, we can go into the strengths and needs to further assist in this process as well.
